Morgan McKinley is recruiting a Procurement Manager - CAPEX to join a long-term, high-profile project where you will have the opportunity to influence strategy, lead complex sourcing activity and deliver real commercial impact.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Direct the end-to-end tender lifecycle, including market engagement, supplier negotiations, evaluation, governance approval, and contract award Build, manage, and strengthen strategic supplier relationships, implementing structured performance management frameworks to drive continuous improvement and innovation Develop and manage short- and long-term category strategies and integrated spend plans aligned to organisational objectives and budgetary controls Monitor and analyse supply market dynamics, emerging trends, and risks, providing proactive insight and recommendations to senior stakeholders Ensure full compliance with all relevant procurement regulations, governance standards, and audit requirements Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement function, setting and tracking clear performance targets linked to cost, quality, sustainability, and risk management objectives Provide expert commercial and procurement advice to internal stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making and improving commercial outcomes across the programme Develop and execute robust sourcing strategies that deliver sustainable cost efficiencies, mitigate risk, and enhance service quality and resilience Key requirements: 8+ experience procurement experience focusing on major infrastructure or capital delivery programs.
Strong background in strategic sourcing, category management and complex contract negotiation Demonstrated ability to influence at senior stakeholder level and navigate complex organisational environments CIPS membership (or equivalent) is highly desirable Skills: procurement CAPEX construction negotiation
