Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Manager to lead our established maintenance team.
Role Overview
The Maintenance Manager will have overall responsibility for managing and directing the maintenance function across several sites. This role involves leading an existing maintenance crew, planning and prioritising reactive and preventative maintenance, and providing strong technical leadership, particularly in electrical systems.
This is a hands-on management role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to lead by example.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage, supervise, and motivate an existing maintenance team
* Plan, coordinate, and oversee all reactive and proactive maintenance works
* Allocate daily and weekly tasks to maintenance staff
* Provide technical expertise, particularly in electrical fault-finding and repairs
* Ensure all electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance works are completed safely and efficiently
* Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime
* Ensure compliance with all health & safety, electrical, and statutory requirements
* Liaise with site managers to prioritise maintenance needs
* Coordinate and manage external contractors where required
* Use digital systems and technology to track maintenance activities and reporting
* Maintain accurate records of works completed, breakdowns, and inspections
Essential Requirements
* Trade qualified or equivalent relevant experience
* Proven experience managing or leading a maintenance team
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* Ability to direct staff and manage workloads across multiple sites
* Technically competent and confident using technology and maintenance systems
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
* Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently
* Full, clean driving licence and all relevant Site related certs. (CSCS, Safe pass etc)
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience in agriculture, food production, manufacturing, or similar environments
* Experience with automation, irrigation systems, refrigeration, or plant machinery
* Experience implementing preventative maintenance programmes

Pay: €50,000.00-€65,000.00 per year
