The Process Engineer will provide technical process design support for new bioprocess systems in CAPEX projects. This role involves overseeing the full lifecycle of assigned systems, from design and procurement through commissioning, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) for assigned systems.
* Review and approve Basis of Design (BOD), PFDs, P&IDs, and other detailed system designs.
* Ensure procurement packages (BOMs, datasheets, cutsheets) align with equipment specifications.
* Track and incorporate HAZOP action items into system designs.
* Participate in 30%, 60%, and 90% design model reviews to ensure operational, safety, and ergonomic compliance.
* Review and approve system lifecycle documentation (FS, SDS, IO lists)
* Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and automation software bench FATs as required.
* Supervise and execute Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and commissioning activities.
* Develop FAT, SAT, and commissioning protocols that meet specifications.
* Ensure Vendor Document Requirements (VDR) meet company standards.
* Create Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks and spare parts lists in the company Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering (BS/BEng) with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
* Direct experience with biopharmaceutical process equipment preferred.
* Experience in design and commissioning within the biopharmaceutical sector is desirable.
* Familiarity with DeltaV systems is desirable.
* Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
