The Team
The IT infrastructure team is responsible for the design, delivery and maintenance of IT platforms to support critical corporate, market and power systems business needs. The scope of the function includes the management and maintenance of servers, storage, database, email, networks, telecommunications systems and security solutions in line with corporate strategies. Solutions are deployed both in‑house and externally and are provided in the most cost‑effective manner.
The Opportunity
The Cloud Service Delivery Manager is the primary interface for business engagement on Cloud Product Delivery, the role holder will have a deep understanding of how to manage continuous improvement of cloud‑based services on Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role ensures services are aligned with business needs, meets SLA's and the group follows best practices in cloud governance, operations and architecture.
The Cloud Service Delivery Manager is a key leadership role and will direct a core team of DevOps professionals operating in a partnership model with all areas of the business and specific Service Providers.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that all Cloud Services across the group are measured and evaluated against Key Performance Indicators and will be the primary interface with internal stakeholders in ensuring the quality of products coming from the Cloud Services team.
Key to success in the role will be the ability to lead and develop a team.
About You
- Qualification in a relevant discipline. Plus 8+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in technical project delivery management in a large‑scale enterprise
- Strong background in Cloud technologies, especially Azure and Oracle OCI/customer@cloud
- Experience in complex migration programmes
- Strong vendor management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with ITIL, Agile and Waterfall deliveries
- Passionate about the employee and stakeholder experience, strong service and customer orientation, and commercially focused
- Expert at managing the delivery of critical services through 3rd party vendors
- Ability to lead programmes in service and process design, implementation and improvement
- Experience of working in a regulated environment, preferably utility based, understanding of regulations and licence obligations
