Job Title: Behaviour Support Specialist

Working hours: 37.5 (This is a full time post and the candidate should be available Monday to Friday).

Annual leave: 25 days

Key duties:

The successful candidate will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

· Supporting the General Manager with the day to day running of the service.

· To have oversight of the programming and behaviour support interventions provided to children between the ages of 3 – 6 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, across our two locations.

· To conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA's).

· To develop, train, and monitor Behaviour Support Plans (BSP's).

· Data analysis

· Staff management

· Working closely with class supervisors to train and manage the performance of staff across our 2 locations.

· Liaising with parents, multidisciplinary teams, and governing bodies.

· Conducting IEP, Behaviour Support, Performance Management, Staff and Parent meetings.

Essential Criteria:

· Hold a Masters in Applied Behaviour Analysis

· Hold an undergraduate degree in Psychology

· Have graduate membership of the PSI

· Hold a full, clean, category B driver's licence and access to a car (this role requires travel between our 2 services)

· Previous experience in a behaviour analytic setting, ideally working with individuals with ASD.

· The ability to work independently.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Candidates should hold or be eligible to obtain a teaching council number

Desirable Criteria:

· Previous Experience independently conducting FBA's and developing BSP's

· Experience in staff management

· Strong organization skills

· Flexibility and the ability to work well in a dynamic environment

Who are you?

This post is suited to someone looking to accrue their supervision hours post masters in pursuit of gaining chartership with the PSI as a Behavioural Psychologist. This role provides regular access to supervision with a Chartered Behavioural Psychologist/ BCBA which can be counted towards this accrual.
