Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide direct, evidence-based occupational therapy services to children and families.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic interdisciplinary framework, delivering assessments and interventions through a family-centred approach. You will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people (0–18 years) and their families.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plan and manage a caseload, providing assessments and interventions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
2. Take a key role in setting and achieving goals with service users and their families.
3. Maintain high-quality clinical records and documentation in line with professional standards.
4. Contribute to overall service planning and development.
5. Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including families and other agencies.
6. Participate in mandatory training and continuous professional development.
7. Act as a mandated person under the Children First National Guidelines, upholding the highest standards of professional and ethical practice.
8. Promote a safe and inclusive working environment, supporting risk management and HIQA standards.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have postgraduate experience of working with children and families in a community-based setting. They should also have broad knowledge of the Progressing Disability Services for children and young people programme. Experience of working on interdisciplinary teams is desirable.
