You’ll be accountable for driving service reliability and performance through robust change and release management, while embedding a culture of continuous improvement and competency development across the Technology team. What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
* 10+ years in IT infrastructure, service assurance, or operations leadership roles.
* A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is typically expected.
* Proven experience managing outsourced service operations and vendor relationships.
* Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams, including mentoring and line management responsibilities.
* Strong understanding of ITIL/ITOM frameworks, ISO standards, and service desk operations.
* Familiarity with DevSecOps, runtime IT, and cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
What is your role and your responsibilities?
* Allocate, mentor, coach, and line manage dedicated Service Assurance resources to deliver prioritized solutions and achieve their career aspirations.
* Manage outsourced service operations relationships and delivery to ensure excellence.
* Consolidate, right-size, capacity plan, and migrate Production services to current and future architectures; develop outsourcing relationships for optimal performance.
* Work with Service Assurance specialists providing additional skills and capacity (e.g., Security, IT Service Desk, ISO, ITIL/ITOM, Vendor Management).
* Collaborate with senior Technology Leadership to deliver solutions supporting their objectives.
* Build strong vendor and stakeholder relationships, maintain effective communication, and escalate issues promptly.
* Ensure adherence to SLAs, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
* Stay updated on technology trends and developments.
* Manage initiatives within budget, resourcing, and schedule constraints to support organizational priorities.
* Enable capability uplift through collaboration with other Technology team members.
* Use metrics (velocity, cycle time, DORA) to optimize team performance and foster continuous improvement.
* Partner across teams to execute strategic initiatives efficiently.
* Communicate priorities and outcomes clearly, ensuring proper governance and decision-making.
* Develop team goals and monitor performance regularly.
* Uphold Carne’s cultural and operating principles and values.
