Senior Python Developer – (Dublin / Hybrid)
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a rapidly growing team building the next generation of cloud-based analytical products for the financial industry. You'll work on a mission-critical SaaS platform, developing scalable APIs and web application backends that help global clients manage regulatory risk.
This is a hands-on role where you'll have the chance to shape solutions, influence technology choices, and own delivery of core platform features. What You'll Do
* Design and build secure, performant, and fault-tolerant APIs and web backends in Python.
* Contribute to solution design, prototyping, and technical discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
* Take ownership of major components within a cloud-based SaaS platform.
* Write high-quality, testable code and champion continuous delivery and code quality practices.
* Participate in code reviews, testing, and peer collaboration.
* Support and enhance DevOps pipelines to enable smooth deployments.
* Recommend and adopt new technologies to improve products and processes.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Strong experience in Python web application/API development using frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
* 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (minimum 3 years in Python).
* Solid SQL and RDBMS modelling skills (PostgreSQL experience preferred).
* Good working knowledge of Linux environments.
* Experience with modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, cloud, automation).
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
Nice to Have:
* Expertise with PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy.
* Experience configuring Azure infrastructure.
* Exposure to LLMs and AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Microsoft Cognitive Services).
