Job Summary:
The Rathdrum API Process Leader is responsible for leading a team of process development scientists and engineers in supporting API manufacturing operations.
This role involves ensuring the monitoring and management of manufacturing processes, process development, scale-up and transfer of API processes, active involvement in process troubleshooting and continuous improvement projects, collaboration with internal teams and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs), and contributing to site strategy as a key member of the site leadership team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing leadership to site colleagues, mentoring and developing the team
* Developing the GMT team with skills to determine future needs of the site
* Fostering a culture of continuous improvement
* Establishing GMT team objectives and supporting development of site goals and targets
* Working closely with other site leadership team members to ensure appropriate resourcing to deliver site objectives and maintain site schedules
* Preparing and managing budgets for the Rathdrum GMT team
* Working with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality to mitigate quality and supply risks related to API and to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement
Requirements:
* BSc/MSc/PhD in chemistry or chemical engineering
* 10 years of industry experience, minimum of 5 years of process chemistry experience
* Mastery of scientific principles, practices and theories with broad process chemistry experience
* Familiarity with commercial scale equipment and processes
* Demonstrated leadership skills
* Strong understanding of regulatory and quality requirements
