This infrastructure describes the complete ingestion, processing, data export and APIs for the Hertz fleet worldwide. It filters, processes and evaluates millions of distinct events per minute from hundreds of thousands of vehicles across multiple OEMs and countries, with multiple internal and external consumers through various streams, queues and REST APIs. Who We Are Looking ForWe are looking for an experienced Backend or Full Stack AWS Software Engineer to join our team, working on use cases related to vehicles (ICE, Hybrid & EVs) connected to our Hertz Telematics Platform and other Hertz APIs. You will be involved in varied integration initiatives for Telematics, including working with third-party engineers to shape their API designs for our use cases. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on a modern UX-driven React web application that is the window into Hertz’ fleet. All of this is in AWS with high quality, resilient, decoupled services. This is a senior engineering role with room to grow and take the lead on initiatives.
