Catering Chef - Briar Hill, Galway Gourmet Food Parlour have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic, ambitious and experienced Catering Chef to join our catering kitchen in Briar Hill, Galway.
This role is based in our production catering kitchen and involves the preparation of high-quality deli-style cold foods as well as hot food for catering orders and events.
It is a fantastic opportunity for an innovative individual to showcase their skills through consistently excellent food quality and presentation.
We're looking for someone who is excited to come into work every day, enjoys working as part of a dedicated catering team, and wants to grow with a well-established brand.
Are you: Passionate about food and the hospitality/catering industry Focused on presentation with a strong eye for detail Comfortable preparing both cold deli items and hot dishes A team player who enjoys a supportive, fast-paced environment Driven, motivated, and interested in career progression If you answered yes to the above, then you could be the person we're looking for!
The ideal candidate will: Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy kitchen or catering environment Be confident preparing deli-style cold foods (salads, platters, sandwiches, etc.) as well as hot food Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced catering kitchen Have a strong interest in current food trends and enjoy contributing ideas Maintain excellent attention to detail and presentation standards Be able to run their own section and manage prep and production schedules Communicate clearly and positively with management and team members Prepare food to standard recipes and adapt where required for customer or event needs Be flexible and willing to perform a variety of kitchen tasks as required during each shift Requirements: HACCP trained (Level 2 minimum) Reliable with regular and consistent attendance and punctuality Available to work flexible hours, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Committed to maintaining company standards for food quality, safety, and hygiene Fully compliant with HACCP, food safety, dress, and personal hygiene standards Eligible to work in Ireland Why join our team?
