Role Overview:
As a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs and value for projects. This role involves working with the project team to procure subcontract packages and other critical elements of the work.
Your Responsibilities:
* Budgeting, reporting, profit plans.
* Good communication skills. Undertake interim commercial meetings with clients and internal project teams.
* Manage subcontractor accounts, interim valuations, and final accounts. Ensure payment certificates are processed according to agreed terms.
The M&E Quantity Surveyor must have the ability to administer contract obligations, meet client requirements, issue interim and final accounts as required by project contracts. They should also be able to identify potential commercial risks promptly report them to senior management.
A practical understanding of scheduling is essential in this role as it has significant commercial implications that require close collaboration with planning engineers regarding progress tracking.
