As a direct entry electrical engineering officer in the Naval Service, you will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining and upgrading complex systems across the fleet.
The role includes managing critical onboard systems, supporting mission success at sea and ashore, and playing an active leadership role within the organisation.
You may serve on ships, ashore or in overseas assignments and have opportunities for funded professional development.
Requirements include Irish citizenship, meeting medical, physical and security clearance standards, and holding a Level 8 (or higher) Honours Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

The recruitment process involves a competency-based interview, medical examination and Garda vetting conducted at the Naval Base, Haulbowline Island, Cork.
Salary and benefits include a basic salary with annual increments, a Naval Service Allowance and additional allowances for overseas service.
