It is envisaged that the post holder would be acknowledged as an excellent resource to professionals within the hospital to support the full implementation of on boarding and orientating new nurses to the hospital. The post holder will support nurses who need additional clinical guidance and provide additional training to support all staff to thrive. The candidate will plan and deliver educational programmes and monitor the success of the programmes in accordance to service need.Other roles for the clinical skills facilitator include:Quality assurance of clinical practice by promoting high standards of evidenced based, safe, effective and quality nursing care, which results in positive outcomes for the patient.To provide clinical education to Registered Nurses to support them to become competent skilled and professional members of the Multidisciplinary Team who provide exemplary nursing care to patients and their families who use our service.Support Registered Nurses in developing skills and competencies in order to fulfil their roles and responsibilities in an ever-changing health service.Develop and co-ordinate Study Days in response to service needs.Work as part of the Nurse Practice Development Team on the development, review and implementation of PPPG's.To work as part of the Nurse Practice Development Team, continuously evaluating and developing nursing practice within the hospital, and will have responsibility as project lead on specific initiatives.Develop, review and the implementation of Action Plans from Clinical Audit results.Support the CNM in the implementation and review of Performance Improvement Plans for staff who are underperforming, assisting in the clinical area as required.Be part of hospital committees and carry out work as assigned.Support the MEG audit process with PUH.Update own knowledge as required, keeping up to date with new national guidelines and implement any quality improvements.Always support registered nurses to excel in their role and be part of performance achievement/performance improvement plan processes.Always work in line with the NMBI Code of Professional Conduct, Scope of Professional Practice and Domains of Competence.Please ensure you read the instructions for the completion of this Application Form and complete all areas, in full.
