LOCATION: Du PontWORKING HOURS: 42 hours per week, full time, Monday to FridaySALARY: CompetitivePurpose:To ensure the smooth flow of product and packaging to and from the Spinning Floor. This will be achieved by the continual movement of completed cases, and waste pallets from the Spinning Floor to Product Handling and restocking all Spinning consumables as and when required and ensuring lagged product is packed up speedily.Key Responsibilities Measure Service ProvisionThe Product Flow Technician will carry out an inventory check at the beginning and end of each shift to determine stocks of all essential materials. This will include Tubes, Cardboard, Pallets, block Bottom Bags, Solution Waste Drums and any other consumables required on the Spinning FloorCo-ordinate the movement of all completed cases from Spinning Machines to Product Lift. Each spinning module has a dedicated 'Completed Case' lay-down box. Completed cases should be taken off the lift tables, taped closed and left here for the Product Flow Technician to removeOn nightshifts the Product Flow Technician will be expected to assist in the cleaning of module meter pumpsOnce per shift Inspect & Wash Acid Suits / Hoods / Boots - (3 sets available at all times) and restock PS3 unload lockersBefore the end of each shift spare base units should be made up for the oncoming shiftOn completion of each task, technician must sign off verification registerWeekly, this chart must be signed off by the contract manager to verify completion of duties and submit to the contract administratorDuPont will require that the contractual role of Product Flow Technician to be crossed trained in various contractual roles to allow flexibility in the supply of Industrial Cleaning Services at the DuPont, Maydown siteHealth & SafetyPerform all duties while following the safety guidelines within each Operating ProcedureMaintain own personal protective equipment to area standardsReport all safety issues immediately and help in their correction if requiredAwareness of environmental impact of spills, acid, caustic and organicTo be trained on the safe operation of Walkie and/or Fork Lift TrucksTo be trained on the safe operation of Kevlar ElevatorsAssure that the Safety checks in this area are complete and attend Safety Meetings, Audits and use the Specco, SABA System to complete all/any assigned coursesHouse KeepingMaintain and improve housekeeping in all areasKeep floors clear of oil and clear of slip and trip hazardsMaintain housekeeping of product elevatorTake part in any prescribed and agreed on 5S Area AssignmentsAssist in cleaning all Metering Pumps and removing full Solution Waste Drum Pallets to the storage area - replenishing drums and pallets as requiredOtherSupport any customer initiatives which could lead to longer term benefits to both the customer and ABMAny other ad-hoc duties as reasonably requested by a member of the ABM Management teamPersonal CompetencyDemonstrates knowledge of procedures and customer standards within own area, ensuring they are maintained on a daily basisPresent a positive image to the customerTakes pride in and is committed to delivering a high-quality serviceSets a good example by demonstrating a positive and energetic approachIs visible and approachable to all, encouraging co-workers to followMaintains positivity in challenging timesIncrease awareness of dignity and inclusionHas the ability to think creatively, use initiative and offer suggestions/ideasAwareness of own strengths and areas for developmentKeeps up to date with knowledge and skills required to be successful in the roleParticipates in training programmes that are availableTakes personal responsibility for and pride in own workRecognises what needs to be done and does it in a timely mannerDemonstrates attention to detail and accuracy of approach, striving to meet performance standardsApproaches daily tasks with a health and safety focusWorks co-operatively and is a supportive member of the teamContributes positively to the achievement of personal and team objectivesTakes initiative to develop working relationships within the teamCommunicates clearly and accurately, both written and verbal where appropriateCommunicates information in a friendly and appropriate mannerSkills And ExperienceEssential Criteria:A minimum of 1 year experience within the relevant industry, or a similar environmentComputer literate, to include, Word, Excel, PowerPointWilling to work flexible hours, including 12 hour shifts as requiredAbility to work under pressureEligibility to work in UKGood written and spoken EnglishDesired Qualifications:School leaving standard qualifications in Maths and EnglishFull clean driving licence. Desired Experience:Experience working within a results-orientated environment.
