Facilities Manager
Location: Shannon, Co.
Clare
Schedule: Full-time, weekdays
We are hiring for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee building services and utilities at a large industrial site in Co.
Clare.
This is a senior, client-facing role focused on operational oversight rather than hands-on maintenance.
The successful candidate will manage facility performance, coordinate external contractors, and ensure all building and utility systems run safely, efficiently, and compliantly.
Role Overview
Lead all aspects of building infrastructure and utilities management.
Maintain oversight of electrical and mechanical building systems, transformers, grounds, and general site services.
Review contractor reports, interpret findings, plan corrective actions, and provide clear recommendations to the client.
Act as the primary point of contact for the client with consistent communication, updates, and visibility.
Manage a team of six facilities staff (electrical, mechanical, general support).
Work alongside a Facilities Coordinator who manages day-to-day contractor activities.
Prioritise contract management and operational leadership over hands-on technical work.
Key Requirements
Strong background in electrical or mechanical building services (qualification preferred).
Proven track record as an operational Facilities Manager in a busy environment.
Excellent communication skills: responsive, reliable, and confident dealing with clients.
Experience reviewing technical reports, coordinating external vendors, and planning maintenance works.
Ability to lead a small on-site team and ensure high standards of service delivery.
