Board Director - Brightwater Group - Specialist Accountancy Recruiter
Our client, a leading educational body, are seeking an accountant to support the day-to-day operations of treasury, tax, and financial governance functions.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Governance, Tax & Treasury, the role will be central to coordinating workflows, maintaining documentation, supporting compliance, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
This is a critical support position requiring excellent attention to detail, strong administrative and numerical skills, and the ability to work with discretion in a finance environment. It is particularly suited to those with experience in finance, tax administration, or risk and compliance seeking to expand their expertise. This role is initially being offered on a temporary basis and requires an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitoring cash balances, preparing treasury and liquidity reports, and supporting cashflow forecasting.
* Maintaining tax records, supporting compliance submissions, and liaising with external advisors.
* Assisting with governance processes, risk registers, policy updates, and audit preparation.
* Coordinating reports for committees, maintaining accurate records, and supporting internal communications.
Key Requirements
* Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant.
* 4–5 years’ relevant professional experience in finance
* Strong technical accounting skills, with experience in large-scale financial systems.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
