About the Role
EPS is seeking a dedicated and flexible Plant Operator to support the safe and efficient operation of water treatment facilities at our plants in Lettermacaward and Killybegs. This hands‑on role involves monitoring, operating and maintaining plant processes and equipment, both indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or electrical craft background and strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow formal procedures and maintain high standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor treatment processes and equipment (SCADA/PLC systems).
Carry out routine maintenance and general site duties indoors and outdoors.
Perform daily lab testing and complete process records and sampling.
Support basic mechanical repairs where appropriate.
Maintain high housekeeping, safety and compliance standards.
Participate in a standby/call‑out rota and work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays.
Key Competencies and Skills
Mechanical or electrical craft background (desirable).
Strong computer skills for plant monitoring and record‑keeping.
Ability to follow procedures and work safely at all times.
Reliability, flexibility, and comfort working in all weather conditions.
