About the Role
CREGG are seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to support maintenance operations within a highly regulated manufacturing environment based in Shannon.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency across the site.
This position is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in chemical, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing industries who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily maintenance activities across production and utility systems.
Plan and schedule preventive maintenance tasks using CMMS systems.
Liaise with production, engineering, quality, and external contractors to ensure maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
Track maintenance KPIs, equipment downtime, and work order completion.
Support troubleshooting and root cause investigations for equipment failures.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with GMP, EHS, and company standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, calibration documentation, and spare parts inventory.
Assist in shutdown planning, project work, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support audits and inspections by ensuring maintenance documentation is audit-ready.
Promote a strong safety culture and adherence to permit-to-work procedures.
Requirements
Minimum 4+ years' experience in a maintenance coordination, maintenance planning, or engineering support role within a chemical or regulated manufacturing environment.
Experience working within GMP or highly regulated industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical devices.
Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems and CMMS platforms.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance practices.
Excellent organisational and scheduling skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Relevant technical qualification in Engineering, Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline preferred.
Experience with SAP PM, Maximo, or similar CMMS systems.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of compliance standards relating to regulated manufacturing environments.
