Job Description
We are seeking a Tax Analyst who will be at the centre of International withholding tax processing. As part of the Custody Tax Operations team, this role involves ensuring that team requests are fulfilled, records are managed, and opportunities for reducing withholding tax are identified and processed on behalf of our global client base.
The Tax Analyst will report to the Team Leader and be responsible for taking on assigned tasks, processing documentation, and providing accurate information to ensure maximum tax benefits for our clients.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be numerically competent, have excellent analytical skills, and be able to work within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Take on assigned tasks from the Team Leader and Senior members of the team
* Process, scan, record, distribute and file large volumes of documentation received by the team on a daily basis
* Processing of information and documentation to ensure maximum tax benefits for our global client base
* Escalate issues as appropriate in a timely manner
* Work closely with relevant contacts within the scope of the process, to provide the best possible service, responding to queries and escalating as appropriate
* Be aware of all service level agreements in place
* Continuously support the team to meet and exceed the expectations and requirements of all clients
* Demonstrate a strong willingness to assist others when required, building effective relationships with members of the team and other teams as well
* Review processes to identify areas for automation or improved workflow
Required Skills and Qualifications
A strong educational background in Business/Tax or similar qualification is essential. The ideal candidate will be bright, articulate, and entrepreneurial, with the ability to navigate through obstacles and work under pressure. They will also possess excellent communication skills, be numerically competent, and have good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Familiarity with IT systems, including Adobe, Excel, MS Office, and Word, is also desirable.
