Client is a public sector organisation.
Your new role
1. Assist the ICT Manager in maintaining, securing, and developing the museum's IT and online infrastructure.
2. Provides day-to-day technical support for approximately 45 users, both on-site and remotely.
3. Coordinate with third-party providers for infrastructure, cloud services, service desk, and communications.
4. Help manage third-party vendors to ensure service quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with SLAs/KPIs.
5. Support the evaluation and integration of new technologies and systems, and contribute to IT planning and training.
6. Assist in managing external IT experts involved in museum projects.
7. Provide guidance on IT security and digital compliance.
8. Contribute to service improvement, incident management, and ICT change processes.
9. Apply best practice frameworks across IT support and infrastructure.
10. Support the implementation of the museum's Digital Strategy and assist in shaping future strategy.
11. Collaborate with the digital team on online resources and content.
12. Stay updated on industry trends and recommend improvements for public and staff-facing services.
13. Maintain partnerships with other institutions to enhance IT collaboration.
14. Advise colleagues on social media and digital engagement opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
15. Minimum 2+ years in a similar ICT support role.
16. Have worked in Ireland before
17. Proven experience in service desk and general ICT service delivery.
18. Skilled in managing on-premises infrastructure: Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation, SQL databases, Veeam, firewalls, networking, storage (SAN/NAS), VOIP/PBX; Linux experience is a plus.
19. Experienced with cloud platforms, including Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint), S3-compatible storage, and WordPress.
20. Proficient in end-user support: Windows 10/11, hardware, Microsoft Office, collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom), and printing.
21. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and information security best practices.
22. Excellent time management, prioritisation, and multitasking abilities, even under pressure.
23. Strong organisational and planning skills with a focus on accuracy and reliability.
24. Able to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
25. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
26. Willing to provide occasional support during evenings or weekends as needed.
