Advanced CNC Programmer Required
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC programmer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for creating offline programs using CADCAM software for various CNC Milling/Turning Machines.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping life-changing medical technologies and contributing to the development of innovative products.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a CAD/CAM programmer in a high-precision manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device or aerospace industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning machines to produce precision medical device components.
* Interpret technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications to generate accurate and efficient tool paths.
* Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and strategies for machining a variety of metals (e.g., stainless steel, titanium, aluminium) and polymers (e.g., PEEK, acetal, polycarbonate).
* Collaborate with design engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve machining and programming issues to maintain production flow.
* Continuously review and improve machining strategies to reduce cycle times, improve surface finishes, and optimize tool life.
* Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and process improvements.
Requirements:
* Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as: SolidCAM HyperMill Esprit (or equivalent).
* Strong understanding of CNC precision machining in either milling/turning.
* Demonstrated ability to work with tight tolerances (0.02mm or tighter) and complex geometries.
* Hands-on knowledge of working with metals and engineering polymers.
* Comfortable with GD&T, 3D modelling, and engineering drawings.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
