Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the role, be able to work with responsibility and demonstrate the ability to work on their own initiative. Be able to carry out a wide range of tasks. These will include, ensuring that all offices, teaching spaces, meeting rooms, restrooms and public areas – inside and out- are maintained to a high standard, Duties include Cleaning floors and windows, power washing, gardening, waste disposal, helping with deliveries, odd jobs, and some maintenance and care taking duties also. Applicant must be able to communicate and liaise with staff/young people/volunteers/general public in an appropriate manner at all times. Applicants will be required to complete a Garda Vetting Application form. A minimum English language and literacy competency of B1 in writing, reading, listening, and speaking on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) is required at entry to the programme for speakers of English as a second language.
