Responsibilities
* Leading the coordination effort with the design teams (internally or with partners) and with third parties for the external technical interfaces, in all technical and operational areas to ensure delivery of a safe and coherent system. Leading review of existing rail and station systems to inform strategy for integrating new and existing systems.
* Review and coordination of Signalling, Electrical, or Telecommunication designs and deliverables.
* Leading systems engineering and integration processes including definition and control of system architecture, requirements management, knowledge database for the whole system, developing the interfacing strategy including tools and processes to ensure timely interface activities throughout the project lifecycle.
* Proactively participating in the resolution of interface or integration conflicts by making technical proposals. Reviewing Systems Integration Plan, Systems Engineering Plan, Systems Interface Management Plan, and related documents.
* Supporting the implementation of quality assurance systems and all project technical plans and procedures for rail systems. Providing technical support for System Assurance Submissions and supporting rail system safety certification.
* Ensuring that all systems engineering objectives of the project are met to international standards and best practices.
* Attending coordination meetings and communicating issues and concerns relating to coordination, approvals and system interfaces.
* Assessing risks and following mitigation plans.
What we need from you
* 5 to 10 years of experience in the field.
* Specialise in Railway Systems and integration of signalling, electrification, telecommunications and accessory systems.
* Experience with large capital infrastructure projects.
* Demonstrated experience in system integration of heavy rail projects.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Fluent in written/spoken English.
