McHale Plant Sales has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic and highly motivated Area Sales Manager to join our team. As one of Ireland's largest construction, quarry, forestry and agricultural equipment suppliers, we are looking for a team player with a good knowledge of the construction, tool hire and heavy plant industry to join the team and help drive sales growth.

This is a national position focussed on selling all equipment in the Komatsu construction range, including, excavators, wheel loaders, Bulldozers, hydraulic breakers and a range of other attachments. The successful candidate will work alongside our existing sales and aftersales teams, and be responsible for all aspects of the sales process.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Reporting to the Sales Director, you will deliver on the annual Komatsu sales plan.
* Drive a pipeline of sales opportunities by maintaining a high level of customer engagement and activity with regular site visits and phone contact with existing and prospective customers.
* Building & maintaining relationships by engaging with customers in a positive and professional manner.
* Direct sell to the market and also aid the current sales team to conclude deals.
* Organise, promote and run machine demonstrations.
* Brand promotion and development of new business opportunities
* Appraisal and valuation of potential trade-in equipment
* Utilise the company CRM system to manage your schedule and activity and to record customer interactions and opportunities.

You will be expected to:

* Work with the Sales Director to develop your individual sales plan, targeting prospective and existing customers.
* Ensure your individual agreed sales plan and other targets are delivered upon.
* Engage professionally and positively with customers up to director/owner level.
* Contribute to reporting and forecasts of sales activity against plan.

The ideal candidate will have:

* At least 3 years' experience and a proven track record of success selling equipment in the construction or Agricultural sectors.
* A good working knowledge of the construction industry, and a passion for plant and machinery. Previous machinery operation experience would be essential.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
* Strong computer skills familiar with sales tools, excel CRM systems, etc
* Familiar with all aspects of social media and advertising channels
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Good communication skills, both verbal & written and people skills.
* A strong focus on providing the best customer service experience with attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines by planning and managing your time and travel efficiently.
* Ability to work calmly under pressure.
* Confidence to represent McHale Plant Sales and promote their products with passion, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
* Enthusiasm and desire for ongoing training to further develop your knowledge and skills.
* A working knowledge of construction and Agri industry practice and health & safety regulations.
