About the Role
As Maintenance Manager, you will lead and manage all maintenance activities across the site, ensuring optimal equipment performance, effective preventative maintenance, and high levels of uptime. You will oversee a skilled team and play a pivotal role in supporting production efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement. This is a full‑time, onsite position with responsibility for Toolmakers, Fitters, Welders, Facilities staff, Maintenance Admin, and Apprentices.
Key Responsibilities
Prioritise maintenance and repairs in line with production requirements.
Manage and optimise spare parts inventory for all critical equipment.
Coordinate, supervise, and verify work completed by external contractors.
Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, including performance management.
Develop and deliver a robust Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategy.
Drive continuous improvement and ensure achievement of all maintenance KPIs.
Control maintenance‑related expenditure and develop cost‑effective plans.
Monitor supply trends and communicate any impacts on equipment or materials.
Conduct risk assessments and maintain compliance with all H&S and environmental standards.
Ensure all plant equipment is backed up, including PLC and robotic software.
Manage technical documentation for all plant, machinery, and software.
Build strong multiskilling and cross‑training capability within the team.
Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.
Manage uptime reporting, data analysis, and daily performance graphing.
Any additional duties assigned in line with business needs.
Skills & Experience
Third‑level degree or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar maintenance leadership role.
Strong people management and team‑building skills.
Automotive experience is an advantage.
Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making ability.
Results‑driven and able to perform under pressure within tight deadlines.
