As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a suitably motivated Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to join our group.
Role
This key role sits within the operations function and will oversee the manufacturing team as we scale up and transition to commercial manufacturing. The supervisor will also create, support, and implement strategies related to Health and Safety, Quality, Engagement, Continuous Improvement, and Operations Performance Management.
What You’ll Do
Lead, coach, and mentor employees; set clear expectations and conduct performance reviews to foster a high‑performance culture.
Manage hiring, training, and certification processes to develop a skilled and capable team.
Support the design, flow planning, and implementation of processes as we move from R&D to commercial manufacturing, including product and material planning controls.
Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement and lean initiatives, improving productivity, reducing cycle time, and achieving right‑first‑time manufacturing.
Ensure all operational procedures, policies, and standards are followed and maintain compliance with company regulations and industry best practices.
Track and analyze performance metrics, KPI reporting, and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions to optimize operational performance.
Coordinate closely with design, quality, H&S, engineering, supply chain, HR, finance, and other functional managers to ensure seamless integration of operations across the company.
Implement a quality program and system requirements, focusing on GMP, GDP, compliance, material management, and accuracy to drive a philosophy of right‑first‑time manufacturing.
Participate as a key member of the SIOP process for planning production, delivery schedules, capacity, and contribute to budgeting for manufacturing and operations requirements.
Who You Are
Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, manage workflow, and delegate tasks effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate expectations, provide feedback, and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in problem solving, multitasking, and driving improvement initiatives in a growing business.
Excellent organizational and time‑management skills to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Relevant 3rd‑level education and/or manufacturing experience in a high‑precision, quality‑focused environment.
