The Role: The SHESQ Advisor will play a crucial role in ensuring that our construction projects comply with Safety and Health legislation and company standards. The Advisor will report directly to the Senior SHESQ Advisor. Main Duties: Assisting in maintenance of the Safety Management System, Environmental Management System and Quality Management Systems and to ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001, ISO14001 and ISO 9001. Carrying out inductions Producing monthly statistics Champion Culture Development Programme (behaviour-based safety programme) Carry out and document site audits and inspections. Keeping up to date with changes in safety, health and environmental legislation and construction industry guidance. Ensuring personnel on site have the pre-requisite training records. Investigating, logging, and monitoring of Incidents and Non-conformances Completing all necessary report forms Identifying significant safety impacts for work areas and helping set-up of appropriate controls Ensure all safety and environmental records are kept and readily available. Prepare and present toolbox talks as and when required. Prepare and present at monthly safety meetings. Review subcontractor documentation. Qualifications and Experience: Higher Diploma in Health & Safety Minimum of 3 years relevant experience on mechanical and civil projects. Oil Refinery experience advantageous. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with one or more teams. Good written and spoken communication abilities. Good IT skills with a high attention to detail A flexible and proactive approach Demonstrate leadership skills.
