The project will advance understanding of how climate change affects vulnerable marine ecosystems within OMAs. Within SEAMPHONI, the successful candidate will carry out physical and numerical modelling across a wide range of nature-based solutions to assess the impacts of extreme events on marine species and habitats in MPAs. This role involves close collaboration with postdoctoral researchers, PhD students, and research assistants across multiple institutions. The researcher will join a multidisciplinary team of experts in coastal engineering, marine biology, nature-based solutions, data science, and industry, offering a unique opportunity for cross-sector collaboration and impactful research. This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator. PD1 Salary: €46,305 - €52,863 per annum. Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 19/02/2026.
