We are now seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our vibrant team and support the smooth running of our busy food and beverage operations.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on hospitality professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional guest service and leading by example. The Arklow Bay Hotel is a 91-bedroom, family-run property renowned for its warm hospitality, welcoming atmosphere, and lively food and beverage outlets. Our Ferrybank Lounge serve delicious dishes seven days a week, along side our Pottery Restaurant and our function suites host weddings, corporate events, music events and special occasions throughout the year.
As Food & Beverage Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring consistent service excellence, supporting the F&B management team in day-to-day operations, and motivating staff to create memorable guest experiences.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Bar Manager, as Food & Beverage Supervisor will assist in the management of all F&B outlets, including the bar, restaurant, and event spaces. However your main focus will be the Ferrybank Lounge. You'll lead by example on the floor, ensuring service standards are maintained, staff are supported, and guests receive the warm hospitality for which the Arklow Bay Hotel is known.
Key Accountabilities
* Supervise daily food and beverage operations across the bar & restaurant.
* Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction at all times.
* Support, train and motivate F&B team members to deliver high standards of service.
* Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards throughout all service areas.
* Handle guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
* Support the management team with stock control, cash handling, and end-of-shift reporting.
* Contribute to a positive, team-focused working environment.
Essential Requirements
* Previous supervisory experience in a busy food and beverage or hospitality environment.
* Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on, can-do attitude.
* Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
* Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
* A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
