Job Description:
The Maintenance Engineering Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating all maintenance activities in support of production in a safe, cost-effective, and environmentally sound manner, ensuring capacity and achieving plant performance metrics.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise employees, allocate work, coordinate training, and address issues up to disciplinary counseling.
* Ensure adherence to Attendance Management policies.
* Recruit and select technicians for assigned departments.
* Manage performance through assessments, 121s, appraisals, and reviews.
* Sign off on Time & Attendance weekly accurately.
* Provide a safe, injury-free workplace for all employees.
* Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety legislation and procedures.
* Collaborate with the Quality department to meet quality standards.
* Promote a culture of right first time (RFT) to ensure product quality.
* Assess equipment issues and reliability, applying preventative and corrective maintenance methods.
* Follow SAP Next procedures.
Who You Are:
* Engineering Science degree or recognized equivalent.
* Minimum of 8+ years' experience in an engineering maintenance leadership role, preferably within the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Industry.
* Trades qualification is advantageous.
* Proven high performance with the ability to execute results.
* Excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication skills.
* Strong project management experience.
* Ability to influence within a matrix organization.
* Experience working with employees at all levels.
* Experience planning and executing change in a high-paced environment.
* Ability to teach and coach effectively.
* Experience with SAP Next / PM system and calibration systems is preferable.
* Experience in ATEX environments is a plus.
* Knowledge of planned preventative and proactive maintenance approaches.
* Awareness of Quality and Environmental Health and Safety standards.
* Analytical skills with Lean Six Sigma methodologies experience.
* Familiarity with GMP requirements in a regulated industry.
* Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
* Methodical work approach.
