Overview
Our Corporate Tax team focuses on tax structuring, tax technology solutions and compliance services for Irish-headquartered PLCs and large corporates. We work across sectors including food and nutrition, hospitality, construction, manufacturing and retail. The Pillar 2 regime presents ongoing challenges; our team has deep experience in Pillar 2 and related compliance obligations. We help clients formulate and implement Pillar 2 strategy in day-to-day operations and through specific transactions, identify appropriate tax technology solutions, and design efficient compliance processes. This role offers you the opportunity to work within a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, deepen knowledge of global tax rules including Pillar 2, and support clients in a variety of ways from strategy to execution.
Responsibilities
* Liaising closely with clients to ensure the optimum tax solutions are identified and implemented.
* Bringing business knowledge, innovation and insight to create value for clients and the firm.
* Deepening familiarity with new legislation and tax policy in relation to Pillar 2 rules and supporting the team in their learning.
* Dealing with technical queries pertaining to Pillar 2, working with specialists and other PwC offices as relevant.
* Assisting clients with the identification, collection and analysis of the financial and non-financial data required for Pillar 2 calculations.
* Preparing and reviewing tax provisions, including Pillar 2 adjustments, for quarterly and year-end reporting.
* Contributing to the development and implementation of systems and processes to support Pillar 2 compliance.
* Coaching team members and driving the team to deliver results in a responsible, authentic and passionate manner.
* Embracing digital transformation and driving these technologies in day-to-day business and client work; collaborating across geographic and cultural boundaries.
* Contributing to the collaborative working environment and promoting a learning culture by training junior and senior staff.
About you – Key Competencies & Experience
* At least 4 years' experience in tax consulting / compliance services.
* Strong interest in Pillar 2 and Tax Policy.
* Strong academic record with a degree from any discipline and AITI/CTA qualification or equivalent.
* Business Acumen — ability to extract insights from market trends to assist clients in smart, innovative decisions.
* Relationship management — ability to build quality, diverse relationships.
* Creative — ability to contribute to new ideas and innovative solutions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
