IT Cloud Engineer Our Galway based client are now recruiting for an IT Cloud Engineer to join their team. The IT Cloud Engineer will provide strategic 2nd level functional support to enhance capabilities in the areas of tenant management of our Clients M365 Tenant,AAD/EntraID, Intune, and PowerShell programming to service configurations, feature implementations and support. Key Responsibilities: Primary contact for Microsoft M365 and Intune management desktop systems and end point security at all levels, IAM, Client, and work with the policies in governance. Administer, manage, and optimize site network Systems, switches and firewalls setups. Adherence to best practices for secure and efficient security of M365 Applications and SAS apps through Microsoft defender. Co-Manage and administer the Microsoft Tenant environment collaborating with Senior Engineers, including site collections, permissions, and content management, ensuring high availability and performance. Provide advice, guidance to junior IT support, and direction to carry out plans and procedures, ensuring schedule attainment, product development, process adherence, and performance. Provide vendor tier support for operations and support teams, including root cause analysis and preventative analysis. Provide technical support with expert knowledge and act as the escalation point for the Client Support Services Team. Documentation and Reporting: prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including information and service management plans, service agreement reports, system operational service agreements, and compliance reports. Key Requirements: Level 8 Degree in IT, computer science, or a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 10 Years of Professional IT experience with 8 years specifically as a Microsoft Engineer. Certifications in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Microsoft Courses on Microsoft 365, CompTIA or equivalent) are highly desirable. Must have expert knowledge of Microsoft M365, Intune device management, PowerShell scripting, AAD/EntraID, knowledge of Microsoft defender security. Proven experience with Windows, Active Directory, Defender Systems Security and Managing Policies. Proven skills managing Defender Platform (Defender for Cloud Apps). Ability to research and recommend innovative and where possible, automated approaches for systems administration and IT related tasks. Strong collaboration skills, with ability to train and support non-technical users.
