Overview: We are currently seeking a Quarry Operative to join our team.
As a Quarry Operative you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the quarry and all associated functions to achieve production output and loading of delivery vehicles to meet sales demands.
In addition, this position will be required to assume the role as site liaison as initial point of contact ensuring all persons who attend site comply with Breedon health safety and environmental policy.

Reporting to the quarry manager the candidate will be an integral part of the site team liaising and supporting with its many key stakeholders such as crushing teams, haulage fleet, maintenance teams etc Ensuring safety of self, other team members and public in line with company health safety and environment policy Operation of weighbridge including dispatch and function of the Excalibur system.
Loading shovel operation including safe and efficient loading of vehicles to RSA guidelines.
Equipment inspections and machinery maintenance.
Quality – Basic Technical sampling and grading of aggregates.
Environmental and site maintenance.
Ensuring the site is kept and maintained to company standards.
Ready to tackle other tasks as they arise.
What we need from you...
