Job Title:Senior Casualty UnderwriterLocation:DublinWorking Model:Office-based / broker-facing (4 days per week)Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join our client, a leading international insurer, as part of a newly structured underwriting team in Dublin. This is a senior, market-facing role working with large corporate and complex casualty accounts, requiring a confident underwriter who can operate independently and trade at a high level with brokers.This role will suit someone who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships and driving new business, rather than operating in a desk-based underwriting position.Your RoleUnderwrite and trade complex Casualty risks for large corporate and major accounts in line with underwriting authority and guidelinesAct as a senior point of contact for broker partners, developing and converting new business opportunitiesProactively build and manage a strong pipeline through regular broker engagement and face-to-face meetingsNegotiate terms and pricing, demonstrating strong commercial judgement and technical confidenceWork closely with underwriting management, distribution and cross-line colleaguesMaintain underwriting integrity through adherence to governance standards and best practicesRepresent the business externally and promote its underwriting proposition and reputationYour SkillsStrong experience underwriting Casualty business within a commercial or corporate environmentProven ability to trade and negotiate with brokers at a senior levelComfortable operating autonomously and holding your own in broker discussionsNew business focused and commercially drivenExcellent communication and relationship management skillsShould this position be of interest to you please call Tadhg at Applications are in strict confidence.
