Sr. Systems EngineerAs part of the Systems Engineering group, the Senior Systems Engineer will lead and contribute to the Waters portfolio of products. Your expertise in system design and integration will connect software, mechanical, electrical, fluidics, biochemistry, and optical engineering to meet product requirements and deliver high‑quality solutions.Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinate system‑level product development, architecture, integration, and system characterization testing.Exercise strong communication and leadership to collaborate with Waters worldwide teams and external partners.Provide technical support across programs and projects.Apply Systems Engineering techniques such as requirements management, traceability, risk management, verification, and validation.Work effectively in a multi‑functional team to identify, communicate, and mitigate project/program needs throughout the lifecycle.Use focused work methodologies, including statistical methods (Six Sigma), to resolve problems, devise tests, and set specifications.Minimum QualificationsEducation and Experience:Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Bioengineering, Biomedical, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in systems engineering, product development, or product design (3 years with Master’s, 2+ years with PhD).Experience developing and executing system‑level characterization, integration, or test procedures.Knowledge And SkillsDesirable experience with flow cytometry.Understanding of immunology is a plus.Experience in product development for in‑vitro diagnostics or medical devices in an ISO 13485 environment.Experience with risk‑management methodology.Proficiency with traceability tools such as JIRA, DOORS, or Azure.Understanding of structured product development processes and methodology.Experience with engineering change management procedures post‑commercialization (e.g., ECOs, change impact assessments, regression testing).Software and scripting skills are a plus.Primary Work Location: IRL Limerick - CastletroySalary: €56,600.00 - €86,300.00 EUR AnnualBecton, Dickinson, and Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
