This role involves safeguarding the well-being of all individuals onsite by actively managing risks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, client and employer policies, procedures, and documentation.
* Work closely with management and staff at all levels to foster a proactive safety culture.
* Provide specialist guidance and instruction to help them meet high safety standards and comply with legal obligations.
* Implement health, safety, quality, and environmental policies and management systems.
* Promote a proactive safety culture where all employees, contractors, and visitors understand their responsibilities and are empowered to take action to maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities: Attend regular site coordination meetings, prepare reports on safety performance, ensure safety standards are met, develop and implement risk assessments, conduct contractor safety monitoring, and support the site management team during audits.
Requirements:
* Minimum NFQ Level 7/8 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
* 3-5 years' experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Proven experience in incident investigation, risk assessment, and method statement preparation.
* Safe Pass desirable, Manual Handling Instructor or other relevant safety training desirable, Full driving licence desirable.
