Pharmacy Technician Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to make a real difference in the lives of our patients.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient-centred service. You will be responsible for providing expert advice to patients, building great relationships with your pharmacy team, and ensuring patient safety.

You will be key to delivering a service that makes a real difference to people's lives. As a Pharmacy Technician with checking capability, you will have opportunities to develop yourself and progress your career or continue to offer a brilliant service to your local community.


Key Responsibilities

* Patient Care: Providing expert, tailored advice to patients about available medicines and products.
* Service Delivery: Delivering various services depending on store needs.
* Team Leadership: Building great relationships with your pharmacy team and coaching them to deliver high standards of care.
* Triage and Administration: Assisting with patient triage and distributing prescription handouts.
* Operational Tasks: Managing operational tasks including stock replenishment, workload management, order fulfilment and receiving controlled drugs while ensuring patient safety.


Requirements

* Qualifications: Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and willingness to complete our 6-week training course to become qualified to check prescriptions.
* Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Motivation: Motivation to change things for the better for our teams, customers and patients.
* Desire: Desire to deliver services and outstanding patient care.
* Aptitude: Ability to use pharmacy systems and technology.

Prior experience as a Pharmacy Technician with checking capability is not essential, as training will be provided. What is essential is a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and a desire to make a real difference in people's lives.
