Senior Quantity Surveyor – Consultancy
Location: Letterkenny, Co. Donegal (Hybrid / Remote)
Salary: €90,000 – €120,000 DOE
Annual Leave: 26 days
BuildForce Recruitment is working exclusively with an established Cost and Project Management consultancy to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor for their growing team in Letterkenny.
Our client provides a comprehensive range of professional services including Quantity Surveying, Estimating and Project Management to a diverse client base. Due to continued growth, they are seeking to appoint a professionally qualified (SCSI / RICS) Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in project coordination and client-facing delivery.
The successful candidate will have experience across the full range of quantity surveying services and be confident dealing with clients face-to-face while managing projects through to successful completion.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Manage and chair site meetings through to project delivery across a range of projects
* Preparation of cost plans and budget estimates
* Value engineering, identifying risks and opportunities
* Preparation of Bills of Quantities
* Tender review and evaluation
* Assessing interim valuation payments
* Negotiating and agreeing variations
* Cost reporting
* Final account settlement
* Reporting to key stakeholders
Requirements
* BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying
* 5+ years' experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a PQS / consultancy environment
* Professional membership of SCSI or RICS
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Computer literate with strong MS Office skills
* Ability to manage projects independently and liaise directly with clients
Package
* Salary €90,000 – €120,000, depending on experience and qualifications
* 26 days annual leave
* Hybrid working: 2 days per week initially
