Home and Away is recruiting Homecares - in Cork City and West Cork including - Innishannon/Bandon/Timoleague/Enniskean/Clonakilty/Dunmanway
We offer Homecare to vulnerable people of all ages from their 20's upwards. We provide assistance with Personal care, Medication prompting, mobility and transfers, light house hold duties including meal preparation and of course companionship. Our work also provides some small amount of badly needed respite for families/wives/husbands/children/sisters and brothers who often otherwise would be caring for their loved one 24/7
More than anything, we are looking for people who are kind and reliable with an interest and perhaps some experience (though not essential) in giving a helping hand to those who are unable to fully look after themselves at home.
If you are living locally and have provided care for someone, in a home setting or worked as a healthcare assistant and understand how important it is that people receive kind care when they are most in need - then please make contact on between 9am - 5pm, Mon - Fri.
Ideal Candidate requirements:
* full clean driver's license and a car
* Compassionate, Kind and Reliable
* Available to work 18 to 35 hours/week
* Available to work 1-2 weekends per month
* Some experience in providing care, either to a family member/relative/friend or experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a Homecare/Hospital/ Nursing home setting.
* Willing to start training in - Care Skills and Care of the Elderly or have already completed the training
A brief note of your experience in providing care or an up to date CV if available, would be helpful.
Home & Away Care is managed by a Medical and Nursing team.
