Facilities Technician Job
A leading aviation maintenance provider is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician. This role involves inspecting aircraft, repairing parts, testing systems, refuelling, servicing, and reporting issues.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Inspect Aircraft for Mechanical Issues: Identify potential problems or damage on aircraft.
2. Repair and Replace Aircraft Parts: Use mechanical skills to fix or replace defective components.
3. Test and Troubleshoot Aircraft Systems: Evaluate the performance of various systems and make necessary adjustments.
4. Refuel and Service Aircraft: Ensure safe and efficient operation by topping off fuel and performing routine maintenance.
5. Run Regular Diagnostic Tests: Conduct routine checks to identify any potential problems before they become major issues.
6. Respond to Reported Mechanical Issues: Investigate and resolve any reported problems in a timely manner.
7. Order and Replace Malfunctioning Parts: Obtain and install new components as needed to maintain optimal performance.
8. Clean and Maintain Engines: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure engine longevity.
Requirements:
1. Trade Qualification or Mechanical Engineering Diploma/Degree: A recognised qualification in a relevant field is essential.
2. Experience in Maintenance Position Working Day-to-Day on Heavy Machinery: Proven experience working with heavy machinery is required.
3. Experience in Aviation Industry, Manufacturing, Automotive, or Similar Industry: Previous experience in a related industry is highly desirable.
4. Electrical Experience Desirable: Familiarity with electrical systems can be an advantage.
5. Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is necessary for certain aspects of the job.
