The Team leader will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the staff team and the programme while providing leadership and supervision at a local level.It is the Team Leader's responsibility to ensure that the life of each individual reflects the organisation's core values and the personal outcome measures by supporting each individual's development in the areas ofDignity and respectPromoting Independence in all areas of their lifeDeveloping friendships/relationshipsMaking choices and having responsibilityMaking a contribution to their local communityCommunity NetworkingReporting To: Team Manager/Service CoordinatorResponsible To: Area ManagerQualifications:The recognised professional qualification for social care is as follows:HETAC/NQAI BA (HONS) in Applied Social Studies (Disability)/Social Care.Candidates must be eligible for registration on the Social Care Register at CORU on or before 30th November 2025. View approved qualifications on A management qualification is also desirableCandidates must have a full clean manual Irish driving licence. A full Class B Driving Licence to enable the successful candidate to drive the transport that is assigned to the service is essential.Experience:The successful candidate must have a minimum of 3 years' experience working with people with intellectual disability and the management and supervision of a staff team.Previous experience of community networking and supporting individuals to partake in activities in their local community, goal setting and programme implementation is desirable.Skills:Candidates must demonstrate leadership and planning skills and the ability to set goals, put into action and follow through.Candidates must have the ability to exercise good judgement, discretion and confidentiality, to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms and co-operate in a team environment with a person-centred philosophy.IT skills are an essential requirement of the post.Working Hours:A 39-hour working week based on a Monday – Friday 5-day duty roster.
