Stroke Physiotherapist Job Description
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Stroke Physiotherapist to join our team in a Regional Hospital. As a member of the Stroke / Early Supported Discharge Team, you will play a vital role in developing and leading a specialized Physiotherapy service for stroke patients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Developing and implementing Physiotherapy plans for stroke patients
* Leading a multidisciplinary team to provide seamless transition for patients from inpatient care to community-based services
* Collecting and analyzing data to demonstrate the effectiveness of the ESD model
* Participating in service innovation initiatives and contributing to ongoing and new service development projects

Key Accountabilities:
You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective physiotherapy plans for stroke patients, ensuring that each patient receives high-quality care. You will also lead a multidisciplinary team, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions for patients from inpatient care to community-based services.
In addition, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to demonstrate the effectiveness of the ESD model, as well as participating in service innovation initiatives and contributing to ongoing and new service development projects.
Requirements:
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* Registration on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
* Three years full-time post-qualification clinical experience in a clinical setting
* High standard of suitability and professional ability for the proper discharge of duties
* Annual registration on Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU
* Fully competent and capable of undertaking duties attached to the office
* Good character
Desirable Qualities:
Prior experience working in an acute hospital inpatient service is highly desirable, as is evidence of continuous professional development relevant to Physiotherapy practice in the clinical speciality.
Working Arrangements:
This is a permanent, full-time position, requiring flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
