Job Description
Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Transport/Driver Controller will oversee the transport operation and daily business activities, ensuring compliance with company processes within the Transport team. The role involves operating and delivering transport services based on the provided plan, acting as the key liaison for drivers and daily transport activities.
Salary: €37,000 per annum.
Working hours: 4 on 4 off days, 05:00-16:15.
Key Duties of a Transport Controller:
* Follow and adapt the Transport Plan daily to meet business needs.
* Collect and maintain transport data accurately within the management system.
* Liaise daily with Drivers and Transport Manager to ensure smooth operations.
* Brief and debrief Drivers at shift start and end, ensuring accurate information transfer.
* Manage PODs, check discrepancies, and handle paperwork queries with Customer Service.
* Coordinate with customers regarding delivery issues.
* Ensure compliance with legal and company procedures related to defects, services, NCTs, etc.
* Maintain clear communication with drivers about start times and shifts.
* Report driver concerns to management and communicate operational changes.
* Adhere to statutory, legal, health & safety requirements, and safe systems of work.
* Proactively escalate potential service issues to management and customers.
* Provide flexibility to cover colleagues' tasks during holidays and absences.
* Ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment.
* Assist with compliance regarding working time legislation, operator licensing, and safety regulations.

Qualifications
* Experience in a similar Transport and Logistics role.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Knowledge of tachograph, driving rules, and regulations.
* Planning and organizational skills.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* Professional, approachable, and helpful demeanor.
