O' Connor Woodwork Solutions is a family run, fourth generation carpentry and joinery company. We specialize in the design and manufacture of joinery for commercial fit outs.
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Fitter to support our carpentry and joinery team in Dublin.
The successful candidate will join a team of qualified fitters and will work on a range of commercial projects in the Leinster region. Current projects are located within the Dublin commuter belt (e.g. Enfield, Lucan) and include schools, primary care centres, IPS panelling and cubicles, and office fit-outs. On-the-job training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Assist fitters on site to ensure the project progresses as scheduled.
* Fit all units and joinery items supplied by our workshop to the highest standard.
* Carry out general operative duties such as handling materials, preparing tools, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
* Work safely and follow site health & safety regulations at all times.
* Undertake basic carpentry/joinery tasks under supervision.
* Communicate effectively with team members to meet deadlines and quality standards.
* Provide flexibility in assisting across various aspects of site work as required.
Skills & Experience
* Previous site experience - carpentry/joinery - working with fitted kitchens or furniture (desirable).
* Experience of working from shop drawings.
* Good understanding of basic hand and power tools.
* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering quality work.
* Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
