Our client is seeking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety manager to their well established recycling / logistics operations facilities across the Leinster region. The role purpose is to lead and manage all Health and Safety activities within the business, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, driving engagement and ensuring that Health and Safety practices and standards are maintained across the group. Key Responsibilities Champion H&S across the business; escalate and resolve non-compliances promptly. Drive improvement in H&S KPIs including accident reduction, inspections, and remedial actions. Establish and maintain industry-leading H&S performance standards. Manage and deliver all H&S training, inductions, and toolbox talks. Maintain the Training Management System and ensure consistency across sites. Oversee accident reporting, investigation, and close-out in line with company procedures. Ensure delivery of mandatory training and occupational health surveillance. Plan and execute the annual inspection and audit programme. Engage managers and supervisors in H&S audits and compliance activities. Ensure legal and company H&S requirements are met and effectively communicated. Maintain up-to-date H&S documentation, SOPs, and risk assessments. Monitor contractor compliance with company policies and safety requirements. Lead and support safety committees, ensuring actions are tracked and completed. Manage internal H&S communications including alerts, notices, and online updates. Liaise with regulators and insurers; manage corrective actions to completion. Key Requirements Relevant third level Certificate qualification in Health & Safety 6-8 years' experience - ideally within the transport / logistics sector Thorough knowledge of current health and safety legislation Strong computer literacy Strong interpersonal and communication skills Skills: Compliance Health & Safety Occupational Health and Safety ehs Risk Assessment Safety Management Incident Investigation
