What Is The Role
Real Estate Finance (REF) is a specialist customer-facing department in AIB Capital Markets. We are a team of 70 with disciplines including Valuation Surveyors, data experts, economists, and a Chartered Engineer, helping us make better decisions.
We play a vital role in addressing the housing situation by funding the development of A-rated homes in RoI and encouraging sustainability credentials of those homes.
We fund institutional and large private investors for commercial real estate assets across Ireland and Europe through large international syndicates, working with borrowers on transition plans to improve building quality.
We are hiring for multiple roles across REF, with experience in property-related lending being advantageous.
Key accountabilities
* Manage and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing first-class, customized service.
* Manage applications through the credit process, including writing papers and presenting at Credit Committee.
* Monitor covenant compliance and review financial and non-financial information.
* Review legal documents, technical reports, and updates from customers or advisors.
* Enhance relationships with clients through good communication and customer focus.
* Ensure compliance and administrative obligations are met.
What you Will Bring
* Relevant 3rd level qualification.
* 4+ years' experience in banking, advisory, or industry roles.
* Strong financial analysis, credit skills, and proficiency in financial modeling.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a motivated team.
* Experience in preparing credit applications, with proficiency in Word and Excel.
* Interest in macroeconomics, industry trends, including sustainability.
* Good communication and influencing skills.
* Analytical mindset and results focus.
