Within this role, you'll be responsible for designing, specifying, and commissioning new and renovated biopharmaceutical process equipment. Providing engineering support and problem-solving for existing equipment and manufacturing processes.
A typical day might include:
1. Designing and specifying cGMP process equipment, piping, and controls
2. Managing small-to-mid sized projects related to process equipment and manufacturing
3. Assisting in design review, site acceptance, and installation of equipment
4. Preparing piping and instrumentation diagrams and related drawings
5. Developing Process Flow Diagrams for manufacturing processes
6. Supporting QA Validation by preparing design documents and assisting in protocol execution
7. Investigating process equipment, utility systems, and control system anomalies, as well as safety incidents
8. Implementing corrective/preventative actions for existing equipment and processes
9. Preparing engineering evaluations and test plans for change control documentation
10. Supervising mechanical, electrical, and automation contractors
11. Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment

Qualifications include a BS/BEng in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of related experience. Experience with biopharmaceutical process equipment is preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education.
