Job Title:Senior MES EngineerLocation:Westport, IrelandContract:12 MonthsPurposeLead and maintain the MES (POMSnet) environment, including authoring and maintaining recipes and worksheets.Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and solution design to other MES Engineers.Act as the site escalation point for complex MES troubleshooting and recipe design.Provide project and technical leadership to the MES function.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, create, modify, and maintain MES recipes, worksheets, equipment, and material specifications, including phase transition logic .Lead the development and execution of testing, validation protocols, risk assessments, and system documentation in compliance with cGMP .Ensure alignment between MES processes and cleaning, equipment, and product procedures .Deliver MES training and manage system access for site personnel.Provide advanced troubleshooting and user support to ensure business continuity.Participate in MES governance forums and knowledge-sharing activities .Support and influence NPI projects, ensuring MES and hardware requirements are incorporated from project initiation.Maintain and communicate MES changes to other recipe authors.Ensure accurate documentation in line with cGMP requirements .Support team development, including cross-training and onboarding of new team members.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality, safety, environmental, and production systems.Ensure full compliance with EHS standards, procedures, and policies .RequirementsThird-level qualification in manufacturing, engineering, business, or equivalent experience .Minimum 7 years MES authoring experience, including technical lead roles on multiple implementations .High proficiency in MES application, configuration, and system interfacing, preferably POMSnet .Strong experience in batch processing within FDA/HPRA regulated environments .In-depth knowledge of cGMP and pharmaceutical regulatory requirements .Strong IT systems knowledge .SAP experience across MM, PP, and IM modules .Exceptional attention to detail with a strong compliance-focused mindset.*Only candidates with a valid work visa for Ireland or an EU passport will be considered.To discuss this role in more detail, contactCornéat orfor a confidential discussion.
