THE ROLE We are seeking a Head Chef to join our is a hands-on role that involves cooking for large groups, including lunch and dinner service, as well as staff meals. The role also encompasses Kitchen Management, working closely with suppliers, as well as organising kitchen staff and shifts. This role is ideal for someone experienced in large-scale catering and kitchen management, who enjoys rural living. Minimum 5 years experience in Head Chef/Kitchen Management is required. RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and cook meals (lunch and dinner) for large groups staying with us. Ensure adequate cover and efficiency of Kitchen by managing a small team of kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in line with HACCP and health & safety standards. Ensure food is prepared on time and to the expected standard. Manage stock and communicate supply needs. KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Proven minimum 5 years experience as head chef in a busy kitchen environment. Strong organisational and time management skills. Knowledge of food hygiene standards and health & safety in the kitchen. Flexibility to work weekends and varying shifts as required. Reliable, punctual, and hard-working.
